This blog is devoted to art. To my journey to understand art better, to be precise. I am interested mainly in photography, but, as I explain in my first post, even photographers today can learn a lot from studying the classical arts, such as painting.
Who am I, you ask? My name is Pavel Kasík and I am a enthusiast, photographer, journalist and art-ponderer from Czech Republic, beautiful country in central Europe. This blog is my private initiative and I hope to maintain it as my hobby for a long time. It is my wish that through this blog, you can feel an occasional tough of inspiration, as I often feel, when viewing pieces of art, recent or almost forgotten.
I am happy we share this admiration of great artists, and I am happy to read your suggestions, comments and tips (you can comment under the articles or contact me some other way). This is not a teacher telling you how something is. I am an almost blank sheet, when it comes to art. I am here to learn. Thanks for learning with me, thanks for teaching me.
Personal cards
With my friend, we recently started a tool to create personal cards, and I think there is a good art potential in it. We are designing cards for individuals to enjoy, so these “osobní vizitky” have to be both tasteful and practical. There is a lot of inspiration around the web, but we want to find some inspiration in classic art as well. Any ideas will be much appreciated.
